These photos show one of my dragonfly beads, with free form wire wrapping to create a pendant. The instructor turned me on to the wire, it is a square coated wire, non-tarnish and affordable, ($2.75 for 5 feet), dead soft 21 gauge, Para wire. I strung the necklace with tiny metallic Delica seed beads. I tried larger beads and felt that they detracted from the focal; I wanted something complimentary but simple. There are 2 strands of delicas, one shorter than the other.

Alright, now I'm confused about the time zones, as it says on my first post that it's 10:04 ...
ReplyDeleteI love how you used the square wire to wrap your pendant, but kept it simple so that you didn't detract from the pendant. I thoroughly enjoy these BOC blog hops. It's is such fun to find out more about the artists or what new things they are working on. Thanks for sharing your art.
ReplyDeleteLove your work (glad to see the inlinkz is working better for you this time!). Your glaze color palette is stunning!
ReplyDeleteI love how you added leaves to your dragonfly... Very spring-like
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your work & was happy to stumble upon your shop in Etsyland. I've made 2 necklaces using your beuatiful gingko leaves & earrings using those rustic green beads you have in your shop. So nice to met you!

ReplyDeleteVery nice wire-wrapped pendants. I especially like the freeform one that has such nice feeling of spring.
(And, yes, time zones can be confusing for us not in the US. So I think it's past 1 PM but before 1:45 where you are. *sits and counts on fingers*)
Love you work! I will have to come back and read a little closer next time... I'm interested to know more about the wire.... It looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove your wire wrapping. Isn't it fun when you are able to do something in 10 minutes that just took you 2 hours!

Its hard to know what time to leave a comment, with the time zones, but I must say that I love your wire wrapping. Wish I could have taken that class! I have 2 of your pendants sitting on my work table right now--but they'd love some more company!
